Gratitude in Three Parts

Posted by

For the entire month of November, my husband and I have been talking to our son about gratitude (as part of Sunday School). With that on my mind and American Thanksgiving around the corner, I wanted to take a moment to reflect on three parts of my creative life I’m grateful for.

My Critique Partners

I’ve known some for years and some for months, but each one of you have helped me grow as a #kidlit creator. I don’t think I’d be here without them! It is friendship meets passion meets accountability. Much love.

My Teachers

I love learning and learning from others. From classes and webinars, to critiques or mentoring, I’ve learned a lot. I’m so grateful for your time. Without you, I’d still be someone who used to love writing and art, but now I’m actively loving it again. Thank you!

My Community

In a galaxy far away, I thought creativity was a solitary act. But bit by bit, I found communities of people who love stories. From critque trains to late night threads or contests w/seemingly impossible limits, we all add to the collective #kidlit imagination. Muchas gracias, I am thankful for you!

Stay Inspired, Friends.
